Rockridge Branch Gets Spring Cleaning

The Friends of the Rockridge Library (FORL) on Friday organized the first ever spring cleaning at the branch. Led by Board Director Hal Helfand, the event brought together library staff, volunteers and other board members from FORL.

During the morning the group scrubbed and disinfected surfaces that are not addressed by routine custodial services. Children's toys were also washed and dried.

Additionally, a volunteer carpenter created wooden backstops for some of the DVD shelves that enable the disc cases to be displayed evenly.

Hal and the friends plan to organize cleaning events semi-annually going forward. Email outreach@rockridgefriends.org to get involved.
