Animals at the library? You bet!
When was the last time you saw animals at a library? Was it a library at the zoo? Or maybe a puppy tied up outside the library's doors? Perhaps a library cat (that's a thing--just check out the cat that almost lost its job) or a furry friend to which new readers read aloud? There is a long tradition of having a domesticated animal at a library, but animals... that's something new and special.
On August 6th, the Rockridge library hosted the Little Explorer's Petting Zoo. There were llamas, pigs, goats, chickens, and more, all ready for library patrons young and old to pet, to admire, and to learn more about. What a great program!
